Our
Story
The Albaamaha-Alibamu Indian Sovereign Nation is an Indigenous people rooted in ancestral homelands of the Southeast, carrying forward the culture, history, and identity of the Alibamu people.
We exist as a self-identified Indigenous Nation, guided by ancestral law, natural law, and the inherent right of peoples to define who they are. Our Nation is dedicated to cultural preservation, education, community unity, and the protection of Indigenous identity for present and future generations.
Our work includes historical restoration, cultural documentation, community advocacy, and the safeguarding of Indigenous heritage that predates modern political boundaries. We honor our ancestors by maintaining continuity through language, tradition, and lawful self-governance.
This platform serves as a space for education, connection, and respectful engagement with those who seek to understand our history and purpose.
